Mmmm hot popcorn smells so delicious! The 1/2 classes exercised great control to use their science observational skills to note the changes that occured after popcorn has been cooked. They compared small, hard, yellow popcorn kernels to the fluffy, soft, white popcorn that emerged from the microwave. They also changed round, hard chocolate buttons to squishy, soft chocolate mush by heating the button (in a plastic bag) between their hands. They were rewarded for their excellent skills with some fluffy popcorn to share…Yumm!!
